Please share a memory of Joan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Joan “Judy” Dale Mundy was born in Monroe, Michigan on January 18, 1948.  She was born from the union of Elmer Mundy and Della Cleo (Sweat) Mundy.  She attended Monroe High School and graduated with the Class of 1967.

Joan was blessed with the birth of a daughter:  Amy.  For thirty years, she was employed by the Monroe County Intermediate School District as a Teacher’s Aide.  Joan loved working with children and helping those with disabilities.

A woman of devout faith, Joan was a long-time member of Evergreen Acres Missionary Church, and later attended Frenchtown Missionary Baptist Church.  She was a very dedicated and beloved member of both congregations and enjoyed serving in several different capacities from general ministry to funeral dinners, and Vacation Bible School.  She made many lifelong friends, as the Frenchtown Ladies recently came and visited with her.

Joan invested all her time into church and family.  She loved making memories with her grandchildren: Kayleigh and Logan.  She was a constant presence in their lives, frequently attending their events, and always willing to babysit her grandchildren.

Joan loved going to the movies or hanging out at Jeanne's house.  She made several epic trips to Tennessee and enjoyed vacationing with Pauline.
