Donna and Jim became lifelong friends with my mom and dad, Mary and Shell Berman, back when Jim and Shell were serving in the Army at Fort Belvoir, Va. Having this friendship made enduring the rigors of service life much more enjoyable for all. I was born during that time. Donna and Jim lent a hand in caring for me until their time of service was complete. For many years after that our families would get together to share vacation time and special occasions.
One of the special memories I have of Donna was the sweet pickles she used to prepare. I really loved them starting as a kid and could never get enough. She really spoiled me by providing a jar for me whenever the families got together. This went on for many years. Just an example of her kindness.
I’m sure memories of Donna like this will help ease the pain of her loss for Jim and Brenda.
