Obituary of Delorse Faye Moore
Delorse Faye Hall was born in Monroe, Michigan on April 10, 1939. Raised in a Christian home, she was the eighth born of thirteen children from the union of Daniel Boone Hall and Gypsy Jewell (Chapman) Hall. She was educated through the ninth grade at the Jefferson Public Schools.
On February 10, 1955, in LaFollette, Tennessee two months before her sixteenth birthday, she married the love of her life, Delmar Delano Moore. The couple had a special bond and were blessed with eight children. While Delmar provided for the needs of the family through employment at Ford Motor Company, Delorse took care of the needs of her husband and children as a homemaker and was even known as the neighborhood mom.
Delorse loved being outdoors. Countless memories were made at the family cabin in Glennie. She enjoyed deer hunting and fishing on Lake Erie. Many special conversations were held around the firepit mesmerized by the fire. Delorse loved working in the yard. She enjoyed coloring, painting different pictures with markers, and canning. She was a member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church, supporting her husband’s ministry there implicitly. Delorse was a past member of Kentucky Park Missionary Baptist Church and Monroe Missionary Bible Baptist Church.
