Obituary of Karen Jean Tuller
Karen Jean Tuller was born on July 7, 1955. She was one of three children born to Lew David Tuller and Mary Delores (O’Neil) Phillips-Tuller. Although Karen was born with several health challenges, she never gave up on living the life she wanted to live. Karen exceeded every expectation her parents had for her. She also accomplished every goal she set for herself including maintaining her own guardianship. An inspiration to many, her sister, Marymargaret, was especially proud of her.
Karen enjoyed being outdoors and frequently visited the local park. Animals could sense her gentle nature, and she attracted squirrels to eat peanuts right out of her hand! Karen was very outgoing and loved to bowl with friends and dance to the songs of yesteryear. She attended formal dances at her school and went out with her boyfriend, Raymond Ramirez. The couple met by chance one fateful evening as he walked by while she was taking out the trash. Though neither drove, it didn’t stop them from going anywhere they wanted to go. Rain or shine, warm or cold, the pair walked everywhere.
Karen never missed an opportunity to eat out at a restaurant. She especially enjoyed Olive Garden and Bob Evans. Karen tuned into the “Dr. Oz” television show faithfully each day. She learned a lot about natural health remedies from his program. Dr. Oz’s tips led her to eat yogurt and sip on Lipton tea daily. Karen also enjoyed “The Golden Girls” sitcom and movies, particularly the Fast and Furious franchise. Extremely loving towards everyone, Karen especially adored her boyfriend’s niece, Starlina. The two enjoyed going out to lunch, shopping at rummage sales, and getting their hair and nails done at the beauty shop together.
