While at MHS, he was a varsity letterman in wrestling, football, and track and field where he threw shot put and the discus. He was very proud to wear number 76 through high school. Following high school Craig enrolled at Adrian College in Adrian, Michigan where he played football for the Bulldogs.
On October 14, 2017, in Belleville, Michigan Craig married the love of his life, Whitney (McWilliams). The couple was blessed with their son: Beau. To provide for his family Craig worked several years at Charter Communications, now known as Spectrum. He also worked as a heavy equipment operator at Consumers Energy, but Craig’s ideal job was that as a stay-at-home dad taking care of the daily household duties and his son Beau. Craig was a member of Maybee Sportsman Club, the Belleville Yacht Club. Craig was president of the Monroe County Gentlemen’s Pool League for the past sixteen years and enjoyed shooting his recurve bow and arrow at the Monroe Gun Club. Over the years Craig participated in several demolition derbies and was featured with an article in the Monroe Evening News from last year’s Monroe County Fair. He loved sports and was an avid fantasy footballer, playing in several fantasy leagues. Craig loved country music and attending concerts, especially Faster Horses. He and his family were avid Walt Disney World visitors and loved to travel. His favorite destination of all was Up North to their family cabin in Mancelona. Craig was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, loving his family and especially his nephews and nieces. He attended all his nephew Joey’s football games and was honored that Joey wore the same number 76 on his jersey as Craig had for so many years.
