Obituary of Gary Dewitt Ross
Gary Dewitt Ross was born in West Bloomfield, Michigan on July 13, 2009. He was born from the union of Ronald Dean Ross and Christa Lynn (Hannigan) Ross. Gary moved to the Monroe area from Roseville in 2019. He attended Monroe Middle School.
Gary came to know Jesus Christ as his Savior and found a church home at Gracepoint United Pentecostal Church in Monroe. He loved his church, often worshiping three times each week. He had a special relationship with his pastor and his youth pastor, being very involved in the youth group.
Gary and his father were best of friends, and he had hoped one day to follow in dad’s footsteps and serve his country in the United States Marine Corps. A self-declared “Lady’s Man”, Gary was quite the character. He was fun and loving, a beautiful person with a loving heart. He truly believed in doing the right thing, often defending the weak.
Gary loved the outdoors, working on cars, and riding dirt bikes. He enjoyed visiting Cedar Point taking in all the rides without reserve. However, his favorite thing to do was to play football. He was proud to don the #58 jersey for the Huron River Yellow Jackets
