Obituary of Jeffery Boudrie

Please share a memory of Jeffery to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Jeffery Boudrie was born in Fort Pierce, Florida on January 7, 1959. He was one of three boys born to Dale and Elizabeth (Partridge) Boudrie. Jeff spent the first 18 years of his life in Florida where he made many lifelong friends. Eventually, the Boudrie’s decided to relocate to Saline, Michigan to be near their family. It is here Jeff met Lori Chapman who he would go on to marry on June 2, 1984.

Jeff and Lori were blessed with three daughters and Jeff has said that his greatest accomplishment in life was raising three smart, strong, independent women. In 2002, Jeff took on the new title of Grandpa. His greatest joy was spending time with and watching his grandson grow into the wonderful man he is.  Jeff also had a special companion, his six-year-old yellow lab, Sawyer.  The two shared a special bond as Sawyer was always by his side.

Jeff loved being outdoors and loved traveling. There were many family vacations spent camping and exploring new destinations. Jeff loved that he had the opportunity to travel with his cousins and his wife to some beautiful locals. They were cherished memories for him. Each fall, for the start of deer hunting season, Jeff traveled to the family property near Houghton Lake to bow and rifle hunt with his brothers.

Jeff loved golf, as much for the social interaction as the actual sport of it.  He never missed an opportunity to hit the links with Sandy Creek being his favorite destination.  If the weather prevented him from golfing, Jeff made sure to tune in to watch the professionals play on television.  For more than twenty years, he also participated in a bowling league in Saline. The friends he made through these activities were so special to him.

As an avid sports fan, Jeff cheered for the University of Michigan Football team every Saturday. He closely followed the progress made by his Detroit Lion’s Football Team and was excited about the promising upcoming season.

Jeff was well-loved.  He always seemed to have a positive attitude, especially when he needed to motivate others. His family called this being a “world class lecturer”, but truly it was just Jeff making sure he could say a few words to encourage someone to the right path.
