Obituary of Robert "Bob" Eder
Robert C. Eder was born on May 11, 1963, in Monroe, Michigan. He was one of three sons born from the union of Larry and Carolyn Eder. Bob graduated from Jefferson High School with the class of 1982.
Knowing the value of being a hard worker, Bob took a position at Yanfeng. He was employed as a relief operator serving in this capacity for sixteen years.
Bob enjoyed watching sports. He looked forward to fall weekends when he tuned into football. Although Bob did not have a favorite team, he did consistently pull for the Michigan Wolverines. He also loved NASCAR and once again didn’t have a favorite driver, instead preferring to cheer on whoever he had drawn to win in the race pool that week.
Bob was a simple man, just as his favorite song by Rock band, Lynryd Skynyrd was titled. He enjoyed being in the company of close friends, just simply spending time with them. He was known to be quite the prankster, often going for the shock and awe factor with friends, then laughing about it.
Robert “Bob” Eder, age 59, of Newport passed away at home unexpectedly on Friday; March 24, 2023. His passing was preceded by his grandparents: Leland and Viola Eder and Mae Sandefur.
To cherish his memory, Bob leaves his significant other of ten years: Michelle Jennings of Newport, Michigan; his mother: Carolyn Eder of St. Augustine, Florida; his father: Larry (Andrea) Eder of Lewiston, Michigan; two brothers: Scott (Lori) Eder of St. Augustine, Florida and Todd Eder of Timonium, Maryland; step-son Tony Hyden of South Lyon, Michigan; two nieces: Abigail Melvin and Hannah (Joe) Eder, one great nephew Weston and many friends.
