Obituary of Dale W. Potter
Dale Wallace Potter was born on April 27, 1961, in Wayne, Michigan. He was born from the union of Morgan Luther Potter and Marsha Lee (Kile) Potter. He obtained his GED through the Wayne Westland School District.
Dale married the love of his life, the former Shelly Linebink on October 3, 1981. Together the happy couple were blessed with the birth of four children. Dale provided for his family as a Master Mechanic for over 40 years.
Dale loved to fish, whether it was locally at Belleville Lake or at Bruin Lake in Chelsea he never missed an opportunity to drop a line to catch whatever was biting. He also could be seen trout fishing on the Au Sable River near his cabin in Frederic, Michigan. Hunting was another outdoor activity Dale looked forward to each year.
Dale enjoyed games of chance. He looked forward to hitting the jackpot at the casino, never too proud to pull the lever on any machine, no matter the denomination. Dale and Shelly also played many card games, often hosting Texas Hold ‘em card parties at their home.
A well-known jokester, Dale was in-fact a self-proclaimed “smart ass”, if he didn’t joke with you or give you a hard time, he didn’t like you.
Above anything, Dale treasured the time he spent with his children and especially his grandchildren. Just being in their presence, simply brought him joy.
