Obituary of Kayellen Younglove

Kayellen Fackler was born on February 24, 1940 in Monroe, Michigan. She was one of five children born from the union of Custer James Fackler and Ruth Naomi (Wright) Fackler. Kayellen attended Monroe High School and graduated with the Class of 1958. On January 9, 1960 she wed the love of her life, John (Jack) Younglove at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maybee, Michigan. The couple enjoyed sixty-two years of marriage and were blessed with a son and a daughter. Kayellen dedicated her life to caring for her home and family. 

Kayellen Younglove, age 82, of Monroe, passed away peacefully at home due to Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Cancer on Saturday; February 11, 2023. Her passing was preceded by her parents; her husband: Jack Younglove in October of 2022; and three brothers: John Perry Fackler, Julian Keith Fackler, and Philip James Fackler. 

To cherish her memory she leaves two children: Rebecca (Joseph) Cook and Kent (Bethany) Younglove; three grandchildren: Katy Younglove, Andrew (Amanda) Younglove, and Jennifer Younglove; three great grandchildren: Kyle, Oliver, and Abigail; one brother: Rex (Cynthia) Fackler; and several nieces and nephews. 

Friends may gather on Thursday; February 16, 2023 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm with recitation of the Rosary at 6:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe; 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe, Michigan 48162 (734) 384-5185. Kayellen will lie in state on Friday; February 17, 2023 from 10:00am until the time of the Mass of Resurrection at 11:00am at St Joseph Church of Divine Grace Parish; 9207 Joseph Street, Maybee, Michigan 48159.  Procession will follow to St. Joseph Cemetery in Maybee for burial. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Elara Caring Hospice of Adrian, Michigan. Mass offerings may be directed to Assumption Grotto Parish of Detroit, Divine Grace Parish of Carleton, or The National Shrine of the Pious Union of St. Joseph of Grass Lake.
