Obituary of Daniel E. Hickman
Daniel E. Hickman was born on September 24, 1974 in Tecumseh, Michigan. He lived most of his life in Dundee, Michigan. He was the eldest of three boys born to Joseph Hickman and the former Kathleen Spaulding. In the past five years, Dan was employed as a carpenter at his brother’s family business, Hickman Woodworks. He had previously worked twenty or more years at PlasTech, LLC in Saline, Michigan.
Daniel enjoyed listening to all genres of music, especially classic rock, and was fortunate to have seen one of his favorite bands, The Who, live in concert. A longtime fan of the Detroit Tiger’s baseball team, Daniel even attended a game at Tiger Stadium for their appearance at the 1984 World Series. In his younger years, he spent hours tediously assembling model cars.
Daniel enjoyed spending time outdoors, and for many years set up camp every Memorial Day in Glennie, Michigan. He loved relaxing around a campfire with his family and friends. Daniel had a great sense of humor, and since he always had a joke on hand, hilarity ensued when in his presence. He was down to earth and a sensitive soul.
