He will be missed. Sadly, we drifted apart over the years, but I will fondly recall him giving me rides on his dirt bike and taking trips on the jet ski! I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to reconnect 17 yrs ago if only to hear his laugh once again. Rest in peace Bobby.... thats how ill remember you... vibrant, fun, full of jokes and laughs and SMILES!

Q: What 3 words best describe Robert and why?
A: My 3 words describing Bob? That's easy.
Bob Was Cool.
Bob and I go all the way back to the early 80's, when life was fun for the both of us being that we both were in our early 20's. One of the things I think me & Bob bonded over was our middle names. We both had the middle name of "Lester". How many people does anyone know with the middle, first or last name of Lester? While Robert or Bob, as I called him was lucky enough to be called by his first name Robert/Bob, I was called Lester by everyone. Bob thought that was funny. I don't blame him either., Had he been called Lester, I'd have laughed myself. I have to say, Bob was a good guy who I often thought of. Even as recently as 3 or 4 weeks ago. I wish now I would have tried to find and get a hold of Bob sooner. But I drug my feet and this is how it ended. I'm really going to miss Bob, just knowing he isn't around. I can honestly say that Bob was a highly intelligent guy with a great sense of humor whom I never seen get mad, angry or upset. He always maintain an even keel about himself. Bob always showed his good and was always very respectful the people around him and to those he met. Bob isn't going to be forgotten by me and I'm sure many others. If there's an afterlife and I truly believe there is, Bob is going to be there waiting on the rest of us. I'm sure with his humor, he's probably going to ask us "What took you so long?" That would be the Bob I knew & liked. Rest in Peace Bob. I'll be there soon brother. To Bob's family I offer my condolences. You've lost a good man in your family and I feel for all of you.

RIP Bobby. Life teaches you lessons that you carry with you forever. We were neighbors on Sycamore Dr. back in 1974. Bobby gave me my first ride on his motorcycle down Breast Road and that is when I learned I liked going fast feeling barely in control and I have owned numerous motorcycles since. Bobby also taught me the value of cover in battle. Kids being kids, Bobby shot my younger brother in the hand with his pump up BB gun and my brother came home crying. While he was trying to answer the questions my mom was asking him, I grabbed my Red Ryder lever action BB gun and went out the back door to look for Bobby. As soon as I cleared the corner of the house I heard a bb smack the wall near me. There was Bobby standing in the middle of the road without cover 50 yards away pumping up his BB gun to take another shot. I shot at Bobby and got my elevation correct and for every shot Bobby took at me I watched 7 or 8 of my BBs hit Bobby in the chest. As hard as Bobby tried, he never got me. Bobby’s mom brought him down to my house that afternoon and made him take his shirt off in front of my dad so he could see the sting marks. My dad whipped my behind and destroyed my BB gun in front of Bobby and his mom - never mind that Bobby started the whole affair. Later at dinner, I remember my dad thanking me sticking up for my family and remarking on the tight grouping of shots on Bobby’s chest. When fall came around, it was as if nothing ever happened and we were friends again at the bus stop. Bobby was a good guy. Rest in peace friend.
