Obituary of Caroline Elaine Wilson

Please share a memory of Caroline to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Caroline Elaine Wilson was born on April 23, 1951 in Union, South Carolina. She was one of two daughters born to Walter and Betty (Burgess) Wilson. As a young girl, Connie moved with her family to Michigan where she graduated from Trenton High School. She made it her life’s work to care for her home and family.

Connie loved to shop and found everything she needed (or perhaps didn’t need!) on Amazon. Christmas was her favorite time of year, so naturally she enjoyed shopping for gifts. Connie also loved decorating for the holidays. Every corner of the home was adorned, including a Christmas tree in her bedroom. Connie found peace in watching the snow gently fall on a quiet evening.  A nature lover, she also enjoyed visiting her daughter’s cabin in Beaverton, Michigan where she took the opportunity to cruise around on a golf cart and watch the wildlife.

Connie had an adventurous spirit. Connie always looked forward to her annual trip to South Carolina, to spend time with her mother and sister. Reading romance novels and binge-watching Netflix shows on television brought her adventure closer to home. The “Vampire Diaries”, science fiction, foreign flicks, and Hallmark movies were among Connie’s favorites. Normally a poised and reserved woman, her grandchildren had the ability to bring out the little kid in her. She had a knack for soothing the fussiest babies and the ability to rock them all to sleep.
