Obituary of Andrew Carpenter
Andrew Franklin Carpenter was born on June 3, 1992, in Monroe, Michigan. He was one of two beautiful children born to the union of Mark and Amy (Hudkins) Carpenter. Andrew attended Dundee High School in Dundee, Michigan. He would later receive his GED from Washtenaw Community College before obtaining his Associate’s Degree from WCC in Information Technology (I.T). He was employed as a machine operator at Mac Valves, Inc. in Dundee until July of 2022, when his doctor put him on medical leave to treat health issues.
Andrew had a zest for life and a deep love for his family. He was a very positive, sweet, and nurturing young man who was generous with his time and always willing to help someone in need. He had a kind smile and gave big, warm bear hugs. Andrew was ecstatic about the opportunity to soon become an uncle for the first time.
Andrew loved staying active, whether getting in a round of disc golf at Rolling Hills Disc Golf Course in Ypsilanti, going for scenic nature walks, knocking down the pins at a local bowling alley, playing cornhole with family and friends, or spending time boating on Lake Erie out of Bolles Harbor in Monroe. He loved going for car rides in his Ford Focus. He also thoroughly enjoyed video games. When he wasn’t relishing in the sunlight, he could typically be found playing World of Warcraft or Just Dance with his family. He loved watching movies and was especially fond of the Marvel series. Andrew enjoyed playing the acoustic guitar. He often could be found rough housing with the two family dogs: Lylah, a pitbull and Diesel, a German Shepherd.
