Obituary of Barry Lawrence Sturgeon
Barry Lawrence Sturgeon was born on November 4, 1969 in Trenton, Michigan. He was the son of John Robert and Martha Ann (Lyell)Wilson. Barry attended Lincoln Park High School, later obtaining his GED.
His love of music would grant him the ability and talent to work as a Disc Jockey in the entertainment business for more than twenty-three years. He loved all types of genres from classic rock, heavy metal and even country music. Some of his favorite bands consisted of Metallica, Rush, and Queen but these didn’t stop Barry from enjoying a wide range of bands. When Barry wasn’t spinning a tune he would be glued to the tv watching professional wrestling especially if his favorite wrestlers like Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Hulk Hogan, or Chyna were in the ring.
Barry was a wonderful, loving son, brother, and uncle. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh. He was a natural caregiver, even caring for his own parents during their final illnesses, more than willing to help others and often forgoing his own comfort through the process.
