Dear Mooney Family, I was so sorry to learn of Jim’s passing. I had the pleasure of working with him at WLEN in various capacities for many years. He was always so kind - and looked our for me when I first started at the station. I was just out of college, in a new community and knew no one! His sense of humor and kindness are what I remember most!! His dedication to his fellow veterans and the “Thank a Vet” program was so admirable. Thank you for sharing him with us. May happy memories comfort you during this time.

To the Mooney family..I was so sorry to hear about Jim's passing. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. He spoke highly of you ladies and he adored Tessa!! I had the pleasure to work with Jim for over 10 years at WLEN. Jim's THANK A VET at WLEN was a beautiful treasure of his..always thinking of his Veteran friends ❤️.
He was one of the funniest people I have ever met. I have so many memories of all the laughter from his shinagagans!!! Let the memories make your heart smile.

I was very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I will always remember him fondly as that radio guy and as Esther's husband and Nicole's dad. He also spent many a Tiger's game in Detroit with my dad. I am glad I knew him.

Had the pleasure of being friends with Him for over sixty years. Jim was best man in my wedding back in 1970. He always had a good attitude toward life and will always miss him. Will be praying for the Mooney family and until we see each other again.
