Obituary of Raymond Miller Castleberry III

Raymond Miller Castleberry III was born on January 29, 1975 in Trenton, Michigan. He was one of two beautiful children born from the union of Raymond Miller and Kathy Diane (Adams) Castleberry Jr. Ray attended Dundee High School in Dundee, Michigan graduating with the class of 1993.   He was an excellent all-around athlete with his favorite sports being football, wrestling, and basketball.  

For many years Ray worked as a forklift operator at the Ford Motor Company, Wayne Assembly Plant in Wayne, Michigan.   Above anything, Ray was a proud father to his son Cole Raymond Castleberry.   He cherished the time they spent together and made sure to help Cole experience everything possible.

Ray loved the outdoors.   He enjoyed vacationing along the shore of Lake Michigan with his favorite destination being Saugatuck, Michigan.   Although he enjoyed all four Michigan seasons one of his preferred activities was mowing grass.

Raymond Miller Castleberry, age 47, passed away in Wayne, Michigan on Sunday; October 23, 2022.   His passing was preceded by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

To cherish his memory Ray leaves his beloved son:  Cole Raymond Castleberry of Livonia, Michigan; his loving parents:  Raymond M. Castleberry Jr. and Kathy Diane Castleberry; a sister:  Christy Gee of Dundee, Michigan; a niece: Hanna Gee; a nephew; Wyatt Gee, and his dear fiancée:  Amy Parsons of Lincoln Park, Michigan.

Friends may gather on Saturday; November 5, 2022, from 1:30pm until 6:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, Dundee; 297 Tecumseh Street, Dundee, Michigan 48131 (734) 529-3156. A Celebration of Ray’s Life will be held at 6:00 pm also at Merkle’s. Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers memorials for those who desire are suggested to the Castleberry Family to assist with Cole’s future college education.
