A proud member of the United Auto Workers Union, Jerry was employed on the assembly line at Ford Motor Company for forty years before retiring in 2002.He valued a hard day’s work and always ensured his family was taken care of.
Not one to stay idle, after retirement, Jerry volunteered his time to build homes for Habitat for Humanity. He also spent time collecting recyclable metals to scrap. Jerry was mechanically inclined and could fix just about anything. For many years, he enjoyed maintaining a small vegetable garden. Jerry and his family traveled South to visit family members in Arkansas and Mississippi, often with the grandchildren in tow. They enjoyed sight-seeing along the way.
