Gary Lynn Deaton was born on October 16, 1962 in Monroe, Michigan. He was the only boy of three children born from the union of Lawrence Deaton and Carol (Tolbert) Deaton. Gary spent his entire life in Monroe and was a graduate of Monroe High School. Gary worked on and off in the construction industry in his younger years. He loved to ride his motorcycle. Gary's smile and laugh were larger than life. He was very good at lifting those up around him with a joke. Gary Lynn Deaton, age 51 of Monroe, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, August 19, 2014. To cherish his memory, Gary leaves his loving parents: Lawrence and Carol Deaton; a son: Michael Deaton of Rapid City, Michigan; a daughter: Nicole Deaton of Adrian; two sisters: Kathy (Brian) Revels of Mason, Michigan and Jennifer (George) Lancaster of Erie; and three grandchildren. Services were held at Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe 14567 South Dixie Highway (734)241-7070. Gary was laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle, Michigan.
