Obituary of Ernest Wright
Please share a memory of Ernest to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ernest Lee Wright was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 25, 1953. He was the son of the late Ernest H. Wright Jr. and the late Elizabeth "Betty" Lou Martin (McKeever). He graduated from the Tennessee Military Academy, where he had participated in the R.O.T.C. program. Ern served his country during the Vietnam War as a member of the United States Army.
Ern was well known for his happy soul and care free attitude. He lived for the moment and didn't care much for structure. Ern often lived his life as if it were the words to his favorite song, "Live Like You Were Dying", by Tim McGraw. Ern loved singing and listening to other county music as well, and was a big fan of Garth Brooks.
Ern had four children, many grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews that he loved immensely. He enjoyed each moment they all had together.
Ern had many hobbies and interests. For many years he competed in rodeos and bull riding. In 1982 he earned the award for Rookie of The Year. He continued as a bull rider until 1996. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and of course loved his Harley Davidson.
Ern also enjoyed mushroom hunting, bowling, fishing, playing cards and horse shoes, and his favorite games were Tonk and Aggravation.
