Obituary of John Lanquist
Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
John Daniel Lanquist was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 14, 1966. He was the son of Richard Hernandez and Patricia (Cardell) Hernandez. John married Pamela Longworth on April 15, 1992 at the Victory Outreach Church in Detroit.
John had an amazing personality and people were naturally drawn to him. He had a great sense of humor and was always very social. John felt most alive on a beautiful, sunny day singing a tune while fishing or grilling his family a meal.
He was a loving husband, an awesome father and papa, cherishing the time he spent with them, and provided for his large family as a Hi-Lo Operator employed at Howard Ternes Packaging for the past seven years. John found comfort through daily walks and Bible reading. He was an avid sports fan cheering on his favorites the University of Michigan football team, Detroit Tigers, and Stone Cold wrestling.
John Daniel Lanquist, age 47 of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 in Monroe. In addition to his parents, his passing was preceded by a daughter: Rosa Serrano

The family will forever miss the way that John snuck candy to his grandchildren, and of course the way he cried "Honey" to Pam when things were not going his way.
