KRAWETZKE, Charles H. (Papa Chuck/Pipi), 53, of Erie, MI passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at 2:30 AM on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 from Esophageal Cancer which spread to his bones and within 3 months, he was gone. Born on October 30, 1960, he began his Welding//Fabricating career in 1979. He presently worked for Premier Industries in Monroe, MI. He was a very loving, devoted and kind man who supported his family and set a standard to encourage God's Wills and Ways! As a Catholic Man, Chuck enjoyed working on Lawnmowers, fishing, hunting, swimming, BBQ's, playing Texas Hold'Em, and spending time with his friends and family. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Loved to run the Texas Hold'Em for the St. Joe's Labor Day Festival in Erie, MI.
He is survived by his High School Sweetheart of 35 years who he then married on June 19, 1981; R. Karol (Hardy) Krawetzke, his children; Joy LeighAnne (Bradley) Rhonda Nicole (James) Charles Bryan and Jacob Joshua, 3 Beautiful Grandchildren (Keegan, Zoey and Vaydah), 4 brothers David (Laurie), Gary (Phyllis), John (June), Joe (Marina) and his sister Bonnie. He is proceeded in death by his devoted parents Jack and Shirley Krawetzke.
He will be honored with a showing on Friday, May 23, 2014, from 2 - 8 PM at Merkle Funeral Home ~ 14567 S. Dixie Hwy. in Monroe, MI. At 7 PM there will be an uplifting memorial of Chuck's life for those who wish to partake of these special moments! On Saturday, May 24, 2014, Chuck will lay in state at St. Joseph's Church in Erie, MI, from 11 AM to 12 PM. The Funeral Service will begin at Noon. Interment will follow to St. Joseph Cemetery for burial. Immediately following the burial service, we will return back to St. Joseph Church to fellowship and feast in Honor of such a wonderful and extraordinary man!
