Obituary of Timothy James Morris
Timothy James Morris was born in Charleston, West Virginia, on May 13, 1960. He was one of four children born from the union of Mark and Mary (O’Dell) Morris.
For much of his life, Tim was employed as a semi-truck driver. He had a great passion for traveling the open road, and driving afforded him the opportunity to visit memorable places and meet and make amazing friends. When he wasn’t providing for his family, he loved to feel the wind in his face while cruising on his Harley Davison. Unfortunately, an accident six years ago left Tim with many injuries and in constant pain. This misfortune, however, did not deter his infectious love of living life to its fullest.
A stranger to none, Tim was a kind and loving man. He seemed to always have a smile upon his face and a kind word to share. Tim could often be heard belting out his favorite tunes, by singing karaoke. He was a crowd-pleaser often obliging requests to sing, Chris Stapleton’s, “Tennessee Whiskey” even though it wasn’t his favorite song.
Tim loved being outdoors, he especially treasured the time he spent fishing the lake with his friend Jim Bob, enjoying each other’s company and catching up with conversation. He equally appreciated hunting in West Virginia with his brothers and father-in-law.
Timothy James Morris, age 62, of Dundee passed away at his home, surrounded by family, on Friday; July 8, 2022, after a valiant battle with cancer. His passing was preceded by his parents; his father-in-law: Henry James Funchion; and a brother-in-law: John Hayes.
To cherish his memory, he leaves his loving wife: Luanne; two daughters: Marsha Morris and Christina (Ray) Cousino; two brothers: Michael (Charlie) Morris and Matthew (Kathy) Morris; a sister: Janet Hayes; his mother-in-law: Betty (James “Jim Bob”) Riley, also known as: “Betty Bop”; four grandchildren: Taylor and Parker Kellenberger and Hunter and RJ Cousino. Tim also had many special people he “adopted” into his family, too many to mention, but if you are smiling reading this, you are probably one of those lucky individuals he loved dearly.
