Diana Lynn DeMay was born in Monroe, Michigan on September 24, 1947. She was the daughter of the late William DeMay and the late Helen (West) DeMay.
Diana worked as a laborer for many years to support her family. She had a lifelong love affair with cars. In the 1970's she had enjoyed drag racing and earned herself the nickname, "Nitro Nelly". Diana was a member of the Eagle's. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, and she absolutely loved animals. Diana was first and foremost, however, a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother.
Diana Lynn Marcum age 64 of Monroe passed away at 10:54pm, Friday, December 9, 2011 at the Regional Heart and Vascular Center of St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.
She leaves to cherish her memory three children: Farley (Dana) Miller, Jamey Dushane, and Christina Kruger; one brother: Richard DeMay; eight grandchildren: Megan, Liam, Arabella, Giovanna, Alec, Rylie, Daryll, and Connar; two nephews: Justin DeMay and Andrew DeMay; and one niece: Elizabeth Goins.
Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 8:00pm, Monday, December 12, 2011 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Her Life will take place at 11:00am, Tuesday, December 13, 2011 also at Merkle's with the Rev. Roy Southerland pastor of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Procession will follow to Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle for burial.
