Obituary of Arnold McCarty
Please share a memory of Arnold to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Arnold Alf McCarty was born on October 29, 1940 in Speedwell, Tennessee. He was one of ten children born to the union of the late Dewey and Myrtle (Bullard) McCarty. Arnold served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army from September 10, 1962 to May 18, 1964. He was extremely proud of this service and he enjoyed the time he spent.
Arnold worked in assembly for the Chrysler Company at their Trenton Engine plant. For twenty years, Arnold made his home in North Carolina. He returned to Michigan four years ago to be near family.
Arnold was known to be a loner, and so he enjoyed quiet solitude most of the time. He was a good hearted man and was easy to be around, but on occasion he wasn't afraid to speak his mind.
Arnold was a God-fearing man who loved to read his Bible. In his spare time he liked to work with his hands and to complete woodworking projects. Arnold always enjoyed a good cup of coffee. Being the only surviving boy with seven sisters, Arnold appreciated their love for him and being treated like a "King".
