Obituary of Timothy Lee O'Brien

Timothy Lee “Tim” O’Brien was born on September 24, 1960 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Tim was one of four children born to Ileen Verna (Schuyler) O’Brien.  Timothy attended Dundee High School graduating with the class of 1978.  Very intelligent and skilled with his hands, Timothy, worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for Homrich Demolition in Carleton for thirty years before retiring in 2017.

On September 14, 1991 at the Dundee Presbyterian Church in Dundee, Michigan, Tim, married the love of his life, Miss Lisa Ann Rowe, and to this union the couple would be blessed with two beautiful daughters; Amanda Lee and Megan Ann.  Tim was a very creative and handy person and as one of his hobbies he would custom build and sell furniture. He loved riding four wheelers and living out in the country.  Tim was the happiest when spending time in Grayling and fishing the Au Sable River for trout.

Timothy Lee “Tim” O’Brien, age 61, passed away on Wednesday; February 23, 2022 at his home in Dundee, Michigan surrounded by his loving family. He had been under the care of Elara Caring Hospice.   His passing was preceded by his grandmother and beloved aunts and uncles.

To cherish Tim’s memory he leaves his loving wife of more than thirty years:  Lisa Ann O’Brien of Dundee, Michigan; two daughters:  Amanda Lee and Megan Ann O’Brien, both of Monroe, Michigan; his mother; Ileen Verna Yoas ; and two sisters:  Trina ( Jen Sharpe) Romberg and Roxann Hill, both of Orlando, Florida; his brother;  Samuel " Sam" O'Brien - Dundee, Michigan.

Private family services will be held at a later date. His care has been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, Dundee; 297 Tecumseh Street, Dundee, Michigan 48131 (734) 529-3156.  Cremation will take place through Covenant Cremation of Erie, Michigan.
