Obituary of Wayne Nunn

Wayne John Nunn was born in Monroe, Michigan on December 15, 1963. He was the son of the late John W. Nunn and Beulah (Brooks) Nunn. Wayne was a 1982 graduate of Monroe High School and attended Central Michigan University. He married Patty Zawodny and from this union came the birth of two children: Shoshoney and Josiah. Wayne was a deeply compassionate and loving person who cared deeply for his family. Wayne was an avid outdoorsman. He loved the freedom that came with riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He enjoyed deer hunting and had cherished the times that he took his children fishing. Wayne had an appreciation for automobiles. He especially enjoyed muscle cars and trucks specifically corvettes and trans-ams. Wayne to say the least was always the life of the party. He had a vibrant personality and a great sense of humor, and others enjoyed being around him. Always the entertainer, Wayne was well-known for his culinary skills. Many of his dishes were his own recipes; some of his creations included burritos and steaks to name a few and were a delight to his diners. He especially loved to share them all with his family. The past few years Wayne had shared his life with his partner Suzie Winters. Wayne John Nunn age 50 of Monroe passed away at home unexpectedly on Sunday, March 23, 2014. His passing was preceded by his father. To cherish his memory Wayne leaves a daughter: Shoshoney Nunn of Starkville, Mississippi; a son: Josiah Nunn also of Starkville, Mississippi; his mother: Beulah Nunn of Monroe; a brother: Larry (Sheri) Nunn of Monroe; a special cousin: Hayley (David) Murray of Houston, Texas; two nephews: Eric and Ryan Nunn both of Monroe; his loving partner: Suzie Winters of Monroe; and his former spouse: Patty Zawodny of Starkville, Mississippi. Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 7:00pm on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe, 14567 South Dixie Highway (734) 241-7070 (formerly Bennett Funeral Services). A Celebration of His Life will follow at 7:00pm with Betty Jean Marlow officiating. Burial will take place on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Campbell Cemetery in Tazewell, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the family.
