Obituary of Teresa Lynn Davis

Teresa Lynn Cole was born in Monroe, Michigan on September 15, 1969.   She was the one of two daughters of five children born from the union of Vernon Cole and Bonnie Sue (McGinnis) Cole.   She attended Airport Community Schools and following high school she obtained her GED.

Teresa married, Neal Davis, and the couple were blessed with two children:  Jessica and Neal.   Later she would be blessed again with a daughter, Amanda through her relationship with Harvey Eagle.   First and foremost, Teresa was a homemaker and cared for the needs of her family.   However, once the children were able to care for themselves, Teresa, worked in several different capacities to support herself from factory work to being a Nurse’s Aide.   She had been employed for some time in longterm care at Magnumcare of Monroe and Fountain View of Monroe.

Teresa loved her knick-knacks.   She acquired what seemed to be a collection of randomness from angels, to bears, dolphins, and butterflies.   She enjoyed being outside and tending to her garden.   She was a people person, loving the company of others none more so than her grandbabies whom she adored.   She enjoyed spending time with them, taking them for walks, watching movies for hours, and coloring.   She was proud of each and every one of them.

Teresa had a big heart and was always willing to help anybody.   She was active always on the go and loved to smile and make others smile.   She was a kind soul and did not cope well with the loss of her own family, especially her mom that she was very close to.   Teresa was extremely generous and trusting, even of total strangers, once letting a person she had known only a week borrow her car.

Teresa Lynn Davis, age 52, of Monroe passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday; November 15, 2021.   Her passing was preceded by her parents; a sister:  Garnet Breitenbecher in 2017; and a brother:  Douglas Cole in 1989.

To cherish her memory she leaves three children:  Jessica Davis (Dwon Pennington) of Vermillon, Ohio, Neal Grant Davis of Flat Rock, and Amanda Cole of Flat Rock; two brothers:  Keith Cole and Richard Cole; nine grandchildren:  Dalton, Dekon, Aubree, Kalogio, and Camellia Pennington, Chase Davis, Caden Campbell, Bentley Buchs, and Amelia Cole.
