Obituary of Sandra Dickerson

Sandra Dickerson was born on August 20, 1957 in Somerville, Tennessee.   The daughter of Robert Dickerson and Ella B. (Hill) Dickerson she was a twin and one of twelve children.   She attended high school while living in Cleveland, Ohio and later took college courses to complete her Nursing Program and receive certification.

For the past thirty-five years she had made her home in Monroe moving at that time from East Cleveland to be near a favorite aunt, Barbara Cheatham.   Sandra by nature was a caregiver.   She was kindhearted and loving.   She worked as a Home Healthcare Aide for many years.   Serving individuals in their homes and in the group home setting.

Family was of the utmost of importance to Sandra.   She stressed the value of being kind to others.   She was a facilitator, extremely forgiving, and never holding a grudge.   She had a great sense of humor and was very funny always wanting to make others laugh.   She loved to play cards.

Throughout many ups and downs in life, Sandra was resilient.   She wasn’t afraid to pick up her things, and in fact moving quite often, she was lovingly referred to as a gypsy.   Sandra was very organized and could pack a U-Haul like nobody’s business.   She was a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church.   Sandra loved her church, and she loved her Lord.
