Obituary of Lana Cousino

Lana Pauli was born on January 19, 1951, in Toledo, Ohio. She was one of three children born from the union of Arthur and Patricia (Byers) Pauli.   Following her high school graduation, Lana would obtain her Associate Degree in Accounting from Monroe County Community College. This degree aided her in gaining employment with Tenneco, formerly Monroe Auto Equipment, as an accounts payable representative for forty plus years. Lana would marry the love of her life, Frederick Cousino on February 19, 1968, at the Erie Presbyterian Church.   The couple would be blessed with three children.

Lana loved travel, with cruises being her favorite way to vacation.   In fact, she went on fifty-six cruises, all with her husband, Fred, except for one epic girl’s trip.   Lana relished the luxuries allotted by a cruise, and as soon as she stepped foot on board, she could be found sporting a margarita in her hand.   Among all her journeys, her favorite was celebrating her fiftieth anniversary with Fred on their fiftieth cruise, where they visited Hawaii.

Many weekends, Lana, could be found enjoying a trip with her “Bunco Girls”.   Each Spring, they took a trip to Fort Myers Beach, Florida, to soak in the sun and catch up with old friends.   For more than twenty plus years, Lana, loved cottage camping in Pioneer, Ohio with her family.

Lana took great pride in planting and tending to her perennial garden. She was especially fond of the beauty of the Shasta daisies and sunflowers displayed.   She counted herself fortunate to own two classic cars, purchased just eight days apart.   She and Fred were quite the sight to be seen driving around town in their 1966 or 1969 T-Bird.

Lana Cousino, age 70, of Erie passed away at her home on Wednesday; November 17, 2021.  Her passing was preceded by her parents.
