Obituary of Wade Alan Miller
Wade Alan Miller was born in Monroe, Michigan on October 7, 1980. He was the middle of three children born from the union of James A. and Kathy L. (Burkey) Miller.
Wade was one of the sweetest, loving, caring and all-around genuine person you could ever meet. Once you met him, one couldn’t help but to fall in love with him. Wade loved all, and he lived to help anyone and everyone. Wade had a heart of gold. If Wade said he loved you, he did. He loved hard, deep and with his whole heart. He has touched the lives of so many in so many ways. Wade was a family man and loved spending time with his family. Wade adored his sisters and the unique bond they all had. He treasured his nieces and nephews who all looked up to their “BEST UNCLE” Wade.
Wade was a 1999 graduate of Monroe High School. After high school, he earned a bachelor’s degree. He was currently working on his master’s degree through the University of Phoenix. Wade pursued his career in the medical field as a dialysis technician, where he worked his way up to managing the dialysis unit of Dignity Health U.S. Renal Care at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Wade was the Southwest Regional Vice President of NANT (National Association of Nephrology Technicians). He was also the program committee chairperson helping put together the NANT conferences.
Wade moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 2007 to start a new chapter in his life. That is where he met his soul mate, best friend, and life partner: James “Jay” Cordova. There an unbreakable bond was created. Wade and Jay loved to explore, go hiking, go on adventures, and take short trips together. Over the past few years, Wade, found his faith with the Lord, and he and Jay attended River of Life Church often.
To cherish his memory, Wade leaves his parents, two sisters: Jamie (Justin) Billau and Julie (Richard) Roggow; his domestic life partner: James “Jay” Cordova; maternal grandmother: Phyllis “GMA” Burkey; two nieces: Jimilynn Angerer and Briana Billau; four nephews: Jason “JJ” Angerer, Jacob Woodyard, Richard (RJ) Roggow IV, and Carson Roggow; aunts, uncles, and an army of cousins. Wade’s passing was preceded by his maternal grandpa: Julius Burkey, paternal grandparents: Richard and Jimmie Punko; and uncle Joseph Dooley.
Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 7:00pm on Wednesday; July 14, 2021 at Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe; 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe, Michigan 48162 (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of His Life will follow at 7:00pm also at Merkle’s with Reverend Dr. John Piippo pastor of Redeemer Fellowship Church officiating. Private inurnment will take place in the Butterfly Garden at Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle.
