Obituary of Kimberly Jean Litten
Kimberly Jean Litten was born in Wyandotte, Michigan on September 22, 1958. She was one of four children born from the union of the late Lewis and Betty (Lowe) Litten. Kim was a 1976 graduate of Riverview High School. She would continue her studies earning a Certificate of Nursing Aide from St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti.
She married Brian Dale Williams at Christ the King Church in Southgate on May 26, 1995. The couple would be blessed with the birth of one daughter: Christine. Kimberly had a deep love for others and was the consummate caregiver. For more than thirty years she was employed as a Nurse’s Aide. Kim would work at Mercy Memorial Nursing Center, Marian Manor, and Beverly Manor before taking a medical retirement in 2004 due to having a stroke. The past few years she had been employed at McDonald’s on North Dixie.
She had a strong Christian faith and for many years had attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Monroe but most recently had been attending North Monroe Street Church of God, Mountain Assembly.
Kimberly had been an avid bowler, playing many series at Indian Lanes in Wyandotte. She had a special bond with her father and had fond memories and tall tales from fishing together. The last few years Kim enjoyed vegging on the couch and playing games on her phone.
To cherish her memory, she leaves a daughter: Christine Williams (Dustin Kaschynyc) of Newport; her former spouse: Brian D. Williams of Newport; a close friend: Keith Brown; one brother: William (Nancy) Litten of Maine; two sisters: Kathleen Litten of Berkley, Michigan and Kristine Litten of Clearwater Florida; two nephews: Aaron (Deannica) Williams and Matt (Kelly) Williams; and five great nieces and nephews: Cessalina, Amora, Jason, Julene Plogh, and James Plogh; special friends: Arlene Williams, and Karen Williams.
Kimberly Jean Litten, age 62, of Monroe passed away at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital on Monday; April 19, 2021. Her passing was preceded by her parents.
Friends may gather on Friday; April 23, 2021 from 3:00pm-5:00pm at the North Monroe Street Church of God, Mountain Assembly; 2393 North Monroe Street, Monroe, Michigan 48162.
