Obituary of Katlynn Nicole Hill (Owens)
Katlynn Nicole Owens was born in Monroe on August 11, 1991. She was the third oldest of four children born from the union of Jeffrey Scott Owens and Carla Montie (Mayes) Owens Woodby. Kate attended Custer Elementary School and Monroe Middle and Senior High Schools. She would earn her GED.
For many years, Katlynn was employed at Contract Service Group (C.S.G.) performing janitorial duties at La-Z-Boy and Monroe Middle School. She would later work for Mulligans. The past year during quarantine, she focused heavily on her own business, Busy Bee Creations, creating unique vinyl crafts, tumblers, t-shirts, and decals for cars.
First and foremost, Kate, was a homemaker to her children and husband, Kevin Junior Hill, whom she married on September 14, 2019. Kate was the rock of the family the so-called heart and soul. She had a great sense of humor the constant instigator and encourager. She was outgoing and memorable, her laugh was infectious and filled the room. Kate was well-known for her favorite word when having conversation, "Anywho", and was surely the Tik-Tok queen!
