Obituary of Christopher James

Christopher James was born on May 6, 1956 in Trenton, Michigan. He was one of four sons born from the union of John Charles and Alice Jean (Bartel) James. Christopher would attend Airport High School.  For the past fourteen years, Christopher has been gainfully employed by Area Transportation as a semi-truck driver. Christopher would marry the former Susan Marie Carr on December 6, 1975 and the happy couple would be blessed with the birth of one son.

Christopher relished working in his yard to keep the grass trimmed, “prim and proper” and well-manicured. He and Sue planted Peonies that were beautiful and prize worthy. Many passersby and neighbors would adore and comment on the beauty of their lawn and landscape. Christopher also enjoyed driving his truck, visiting new places but looked forward to coming home to his family when the job was done. He took care of his truck as well, keeping it washed, clean and always gassed up. Above anything, Christopher loved his family. He always wished for their best and meant it. He treasured the times he spent with them, especially his grandchildren, when he was home from the road.

Christopher had many connections throughout his life, some people who were very close to his heart. He was very saddened by the sudden passing of his best friends last year and Sue believes they are now hanging around together again.
