Obituary of Joseph Allen Warren
Joseph Allen “Joe” Warren was born in Lincoln Park, Michigan on February 13, 1965. He was the son of James Allen Warren and Barbara Ann (Crawford) Warren, but was raised by his stepmother: Letha (Smith) Warren. He attended Monroe High School where he would obtain his GED, and then enlisted in the United States Army. He served in the Middle East and earned numerous citations as a Medic during the Desert Storm.
Joe was employed by Guardian Glass for several years. In 1993, he then took employment as a truck driver, the third generation in his family, the same as his father and grandfather before him. He would work for Overnight Trucking which later became United Parcel Service. Joe left the company in 2011 setting out as an owner operator until his medical retirement in 2016.
He enjoyed reading to fill his time with his favorite artists being that of Dean Koontz and Stephen King. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering on the hometown teams including the Detroit Red Wings in hockey and a die-hard Detroit Lions football fan. He loved to ride motorcycles. A talented musician, he recently had enjoyed picking up the bass guitar again.
He was very family orientated, very proud of his own children, and was over the moon for his grandchildren. Joe was generous and friendly never meeting a stranger. He will probably best be remembered for his not always politically correct, twisted sense of humor.
