Obituary of Caitlyn Brewer

Caitlyn Alexandrea-Marie Brewer was born on September 19, 1991 in Monroe, Michigan. She was the daughter of Margaret Ziegler and Michael Bogits. Caitlyn had a love of music. She fostered this passion by being involved in the choir while attending Airport Schools. Caitlyn was a very determined and an independent young lady. Her straight to the point persona allowed those around her to know exactly where they stood. Caitlyn would do anything she could for those she loved. She was very loving and supportive to those who had the privilege of knowing her. Caitlyn had a servant's heart. She had a habit of rescuing people and had been known to bring those in need home with her. Although, Cailtyn was never a "girly girl", she marched to the beat of her own drum. She was always a joy to be around with her happy and bubbly personality. When Caitlyn wasn't helping others she enjoyed photography. Caitlyn Alexandrea-Marie Brewer, age 22 of Newport, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 16, 2014. Her passing was preceded by her grandmother: Sharon Drennen and a step-grandmother: Cheryl Brewer. To cherish her memory Caitlyn leaves her mother and step-father: Margaret and Andrew Ziegler; her father: Michael Bogits; two brothers: Cody and Conner Brewer; a half-brother: Hunter Bogits; grandmother: Katherine (Lawrence) Brewer-Cikalo; and grandfathers: Paul Brewer and Gary (Sandy) Drennen. Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 7:00pm on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Her Life will take place at 7:00pm with Pastor Roy Southerland from Monroe Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Cremation will follow through Southern Michigan Services in Livonia, Michigan.
