Obituary of Timothy Charles Cooley
Timothy Charles Cooley was born in Monroe, Michigan on November 29, 1954. He was one of two children born from the union of Charles Leonard Cooley and Shirley Marie (Olson) Cooley. Tim attended Monroe High School graduating with the Class of 1973. The family would worship at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Timothy married Sherry Sharpe on November 24, 1989 and from this union would have a son: Timothy. Timothy was also blessed to have a daughter, Tiffany, from another relationship.
Tim was a great man. He made his mark in his own family as a wonderful son and father. He was a loyal friend making acquaintances wherever he went. Tim enjoyed staying active and he spent many days golfing, hunting, fishing, and bowling. Many conversations were had over drinks with his best friends, Paul and Kathy Stone.
Tim loved to work and was an extremely dedicated. Although, he could have retired years ago, Tim, continued his employment as a Crane Operator at Gerdau Steel. Recently, he had completed his forty-first year of employment.
Even with his dedication to his job, Tim, always found time to take care of those around him. He was everyone's favorite handyman. He will be missed dearly by all of those who knew him. But most of all by his son whom he had a special bond with.
Timothy Charles Cooley, age 66, of Monroe passed away unexpectedly at 10:05am on Wednesday; February 10, 2021 at his home.
To cherish his memory, Timothy, leaves two children: Timothy Randal Cooley of Kihei, Hawaii and Tiffany Woodrome of Kennewick, Washington; his parents Charles and Shirley Cooley of Monroe; and a sister: Linda Cooley of Newport, Michigan; Stepdaughters: Amanda Erskine and Kathryn Loope; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
No public services are planned. Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe; 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe, Michigan 48162 has been entrusted with his arrangements.
