November 4, 1917 - February 5, 2014 Selma Rose (Waltz) Krueger was born in Monroe, Michigan on November 4, 1917. She was one of four children born from the union of the late William Waltz and the late Eleanora (Sedelbauer) Waltz. Selma married the love of her life, George Krueger Jr. on August 29, 1936 and from this union would come the birth of three children. Selma was a woman of strong faith. She shared her love of Christ with those around her and received her spiritual nourishment as a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Selma was a wonderful homemaker and mother caring deeply for her family and others. She supported those around her with kind words and loving actions. She loved to entertain and enjoyed baking and cooking for family occasions. Selma enjoyed traveling. She and George had spent countless trips scouring the nation. When she wasn't on a cross country jaunt, Selma especially enjoyed the time that she spent with children and grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting and was a member of the Ladies Arbeiter. Another favorite pastime included playing cards, including euchre and pinochle. Selma Krueger, age 96, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the Lutheran Home. In addition to her parents and husband, George, her passing was preceded by her twin sister: Thelma Wellhousen; two brothers: Victor Waltz and Merlin Waltz (KIA WWII); two brothers-in-law: Harry Miller and Roy Wellhouson; sister-in-law: Elva Waltz; and a son-in-law: Larry McBee. To cherish her memory she leaves three children: George (Eleanor) Krueger of Monroe, Carolyn Spicer of Traverse City, and Marilyn McBee of Lee's Summit, Missouri; one sister: Elnor Miller of Venice, Florida; grandchildren: Gerald (Diane) Krueger, Rolland (Tina) Krueger, Katherine (Greg) Eighmey, David (Barbra) Krueger, Eric (Joy) Spicer, Kevin Spicer, Todd Spicer, Jana Spicer, Kim (William) Foster, and Aaron (Angel) McBee, nineteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
