Alexandra Daneen Dellen was born in Monroe, Michigan on January 7, 1970. She was the daughter of William Dellen and the late Elizabeth Bitz. Alexandra was a graduate of Airport High School.
Alexandra was a wonderful homemaker and dedicated mother, the type that always put her family first. She was a beloved daughter, a loving sister, and a very special grandmother, and true friend. Alexandra was very close to her father, William and he was a big part of her life. She looked up to him as a role model. Alexandra loved to encourage her family and friends by writing them little inspirational pieces.
Alexandra was a Walmart shopper like no other. She seemed to visit the store at least once each day. Alexandra enjoyed skating and was always pleased to take her daughter to the rink. She was an animal lover but was especially fond of her cats.
Alexandra Daneen McDuffie, age 41 a lifelong Monroe resident passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. Her passing was preceded by her mother.
To cherish her memory she leaves her father: William Dellen of Monroe; four sons: Chaz Logwood of Michigan, Marlo Logwood of Pensacola, Florida, Gavonte Logwood of Milan, and Javion Logwood of Milan; two daughters: Burshe Logwood and fiancé: Antonio Carter of Monroe and Gabriell McDuffie of Monroe; a sister: Chastily Fiest and brother-in-law Roger of Monroe; one grandson: Antonio Carter of Monroe; and a host of friends.
Friends may gather from 2:30pm until 7:00pm, Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Her Life will take place at 7:00pm with the Reverend Rick Massingill pastor of North Monroe Street Church of God officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested to the McDuffie Family to assist with funeral expenses in care of Merkle Funeral Service.
