Obituary of Phillip Bradley Bratcher

Phillip Bradley Bratcher was born in Monroe, Michigan on April 19, 1971.   He was the youngest of three children born from the union of the late Gene Troy Bratcher and the late Patricia May (Brooks) Bratcher.   Phillip attended Lincoln Elementary and Monroe High School.

Phillip enjoyed the opportunity to help others and was extremely excited about being a public servant.   For some time, he had been a Police Explorer for the Monroe Police Department and later a Volunteer Firefighter in Ida and Dundee.   Phillip served as a Security Officer with Roberts Security assigned to the Detroit Metropolitan Airport before a neck injury forced a medical retirement.

Phillip shared his life for many years with his former fiancé, Wendy Bovee.   Together they were blessed with the birth of one daughter:  Faith.  Phillip was a proud father and had unconditional love for his daughter.

Phillip Bradley Bratcher, age 49, of Monroe passed away at 2:44am on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital.   His passing was preceded by his father on December 26, 2012 and his mother on October 18, 2019.

To cherish his memory he leaves a daughter:  Faith Angel Bratcher of Toledo; a brother:  Troy Gene Bratcher of Monroe; a sister:  Peggy (Ryan) Evans of Monroe; two nephews:  Chris Bayer (Shelly Jacobs) and Ryan Bayer; and his former fiancé, Faith’s mother:  Wendy of Toledo.
