Dear Don, Jane & family,
Sorry to taking so long to write. I don't do a good job of keeping up on Monroe and Grace News; and even when I hear things, I'm not always Johnny on the Spot.
However, please accept my condolences and prayers on Dad's passing on to the Church Triumphant. I have many fond memories of your father...mother too. What a wonderful team they made for so many years and a wonderful part of our church family at Grace. Growing up it was always, Mr. and Mrs. Wigman. Later, during or after college...Don and Betty.
Speaking of Don, such a regular down to earth matter of fact guy. Watched him play fastpitch softball with dad on the Grace teams of the 60's and 70's, and later hung out with him at Mens' Club and so many other church functions in my adult years of the 90s. For some reason, I'll never forget his how he quit smoking story. I've actually shared that story with others to help them.
Anyway, praying God's blessings and comfort to you and all in Christ Jesus.
He is Risen! He is Risen, Indeed! Alleluia!

Dear Don,Jane,and your families,
We were so sorry to hear of your loss. Uncle Don was so special. His laugh was contagious. Bruce's Mom is 101 years old and fell a few days ago. We have been on call and dealing with phone calls, questions, and her calling us 6 or 7 times a day.She broke her hip in 2 places. She is in quarantine in a health care center.
You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Christine and Bruce

The picture above represents what Don (and Betty) meant to us. My three boys have grown up being their next-door neighbors. When we moved in 2002, my oldest son was 1 year old. He is now 19 and his brothers 17 and 15. Don would ALWAYS have a sucker for the boys. The sucker in the picture was a joke-the ones he always had were the Dum Dum suckers. On special occasions, Don would invite them in for a pop. We couldn’t have asked for better people to have as our neighbors. Don will be greatly missed. Rest In Peace.

Jane, I am truly sorry for the loss of your dad. It sounds like he led a good life...I had to smile when I saw he was a milkman at one time...I was a route salesman for Hostess Cake and had a lot of great memories there. I am sending condolences as well as prayers for comfort to you and your entire family. We miss you at IHM!
