Craig Alan Johnson was born in Royal Oak, Michigan on November 9, 1961. He was the son of the late Stanley Johnson and the late Joan Ruhl. He married the love of his life, Beverly Orr, on March 23, 1985 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Monroe. Craig was a member of St. Ann's Parish in Frenchtown Township. Craig was a silly, fun and sometimes sarcastic man. He loved to get people going. Craig had a heart of gold, giving what he could to anyone in need. Craig enjoyed watching his son play football and sports on TV and he never missed a card game. Craig loved spending time with his grandchildren even if it meant playing Barbies with his granddaughter. Craig was an animal lover which was evident in him being a pushover for his dogs. He loved horse racing and even trained horses for 30 years. One of the horses he trained, Indiana Ab, was 13 years old when he broke a world record. Craig was formally employed by Schwan's Food Service as a driver. He was a member of the Brest Bay Gun Club and United States Trotting Association. Craig Alan Johnson, age 52 of Monroe, Michigan passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Henry Ford Hospital. In addition to his parents, his passing was preceded by a grandson: Brennan Jackson.
