Obituary of LeKryssa Magalin Brooks

LeKryssa Magalin Brooks was born in Monroe, Michigan on July 27, 1996.   She was the daughter of Christopher Brooks and Darless Watson.   Kryssa attended Custer Elementary and Hollywood Schools.   She would later obtain her GED through Monroe High School.

LeKryssa was a kind and loving individual.   She loved to spend time with family and friends and was a proud mother to her children.   Kryssa could be the life of any party typically being the center of attention with her flamboyant dancing and singing.   One of her favorite pastimes was shopping.   It seemed that she would drop just about anything for a trip to the store.   For several years, Kryssa, had been employed as a waitress for Kabob One.  

LeKryssa Magalin “Kryssa” Brooks, age 24, of Monroe passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 8, 2020 in Melvindale, Michigan.   Her passing was preceded by her grandparents and great grandparents.

To cherish her memory she leaves two sons:  Andres Morales of Monroe and Quwincey Logwood of Belleville; her mother:  Darless Watson (Eric Brown) of Monroe, her step-father:  Kelly Black of Monroe; a grandmother:  Janie Black of Monroe; two sisters: Kaylena Watson (James Hall) of Monroe, and Taquilla Brancheau of Monroe; four brothers: Deontay White of Detroit, Jared (Samantha) Henderson of Monroe, Nathan Carlson of Kentucky, and Bryce Dickerson of Monroe; several other half-siblings; two nephews; and one niece; several aunts, uncles, cousins.
