Obituary of LaQuinda Hudson

July 7, 1959 - December 27, 2013 LaQuinda Patrice Hudson was born July 7, 1959 to the late Booker T. Hudson and Suvella Mae (Jones) Hudson in Monroe, MI. LaQuinda passed away in her home on Friday December 27, 2013. She had been in poor health for the last five years. She moved to Detroit at an early age with her family. She moved to Fort Worth, Texas to take care of her niece, Shalone Hudson-Briggs. She moved back to Monroe in March 2013 because of failing health. She leaves to cherish her memory her children; Darryl and Jasmine Jackson; one grandson, Quintez Hudson; step-mom, Annie Lee Hudson of Detroit; two sisters, Yvonne Fuqua of Monroe and Francis Hudson of Detroit; five brothers, Freddie (Marsha) Jackson of Miami, FL.; Booker T. Hudson, Jr. and Lynn Hudson of Monroe; Lorenzo Hudson of Toledo, OH and Mario Hudson of Detroit; step-brothers, Andre, Cedric, Melvin and Norman Snerling of Detroit; five Aunts, Christine Vining, Fay Jones and Saline Jones of Monroe; Annie (John) Rocker of Romulus, and Geraldine (Joe) Jones Buford of Ypsilanti, MI; three uncles, Joe (Jean)Hudson of Sacramento, CA; Colton Jones Sr., of Monroe and Eddie (Ruth)Hudson of Southfield, MI and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. LaQuinda was preceded in death by her parents, Booker T. Hudson and Suvella Mae (Jones) Hudson; her maternal and paternal grandparents; two children, Tyrus Terrell and Quentin Hudson; two brothers, Bobbie and Dennis Hudson and three sisters; Emma Jane, Marvella, and Melissa Hudson. Friends may gather from 11:00am until 12:00pm on Friday, January 3, 2014 at Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe 14567 South Dixie Highway (734) 241-7070 (formerly Bennett Funeral Services). A Celebration of Her Life will follow at 12:00pm, with Pastor Alfred Overstreet of Al Overstreet Evangelistic Ministries, officiating. Cremation will take place through Southern Michigan Services in Livonia.
