Obituary of Betty Jane Thompson

Betty Jane Beiser was born January 25, 1929 in LaSalle, Michigan.  She was one of three children born from the union of the late Elton C. Besier and the late Ethel M. (Stowell) Besier. Betty attended Ida Schools and went on to marry the love of her life, the late Leo Thompson on June 28, 1947 in Dundee, Michigan. She helped support her family employed in the Layaway Department until retirement at J.C. Penny.

Betty Jane Thompson, age 91, of Monroe, Michigan passed away at 9:38am on Monday, March 16, 2020 at her home.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her husband of fifty-six years: Leo; a daughter:  Pamela Hutto; two siblings:  Richard and Donna Mae Besier

To cherish her memory, she leaves her son:  Eric Thompson; and a grandson:  Robert Newman.

A private burial has taken place at Roselawn Memorial Park. Arrangements have been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe: 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe (734)384-5185.
