Obituary of Chad "Chico" Marvin Zorn
Chad “Chico” Marvin Zorn was born on August 19, 1976 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was one of four children and a 1994 Ida High School graduate. Chad married the love of his life, Jennifer Happy on September 8, 2007 at West Ida Immanuel Lutheran Church. He supported his family as a hi-lo driver at Floral City Beverage for eight years until his medical leave in October 2019.
Chad was an all-around great guy. He was one to appreciate the wilderness; hunting deer, fishing and searching for mushroom delicacies. Chad looked forward to rest and relaxation camping and at his grandparents’ cabin up north throughout the years. At home, he enjoyed time in his vegetable garden and sharing its produce with friends and family.
As an avid University of Michigan and Bears fan, Chad never missed a game. He also was entertained by going to tractor pulls and watching them on television.
Most important to Chad was his family. He adored his loving wife and received much joy getting down and dirty playing basketball and football with His precious boys.
To cherish his memory, he leave his wife of twelve years, Jennifer; two children: Payton and Holden; his parents: Lyle (Judy) Zorn of Dundee and Pam (Larry) Kominek of Milan; his mother and father-in-law: Dale and Connie Happy of Monroe; three siblings: Larry (Kelly) Kominek of Dundee, Hope (Greg Schrader) Kominek of Dundee and Malinda (Erich) Swartz of Monroe; a sister and brother-in-law: Sarah and Matt Wickenheiser of Maybee; and nieces and nephews: Kaden, Jaxson, Brett, Leihm, Addie, Clara and Warren.
Chad is preceded by his maternal grandparents: John and Shirley Bruckner; and his paternal grandparents: Marvin and Dorothy Zorn. Although, his untimely passing leaves a huge hole in the lives of those that loved him, Chad will be remembered by his Gift of Life to others by being an organ and tissue donor.
