Obituary of Samuel Wade Breitner

Samuel Wade Breitner was born in Monroe, Michigan on February 27, 1958.   He was one of three children born from the union of the late Alvin Breitner and Helen (Uckele) Breitner.   He was a 1976 graduate of Ida High School.

He lived most of his life in Monroe County and was extremely proud of his two children:  Everette and Cheyenne.   For many years, Sam, supported his family as a laborer in the paper industry being employed by Georgia Pacific.

Sam loved the outdoors and found his most peace when he was one with nature.   He was an avid rock collector and enjoyed geocaching.   His love for    This love for the natural world was only enhanced by the time he spent working at Yosemite National Park in California, Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona, and the Everglades National Park in Florida.  

Sam also loved his four-legged companion a black and white Chihuahua.

Samuel Wade Breitner, age 61, of Monroe passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.   His passing was preceded by his father Alvin Breitner on April 20, 2019.   To cherish his memory, Sam leaves his mother:  Helen Breitner of Monroe; one son:  Everette Cody Breitner; one daughter:  Cheyenne Munoz; and two sisters:  Susan (Ted) Kolnitys, and Sandra (Steve) Russell.
