Obituary of Kenneth Wayne Bugert
Kenneth Wayne “Kenny” Bugert was born on July 8, 1982 in Toledo Ohio. He was the son of Richard Bugert and Pamela Trowbridge.
Kenny had many varied interests, but one of his loves was for cooking. He had many specialties, but his buttermilk fried chicken breasts were especially a crowd favorite. Most recently, Kenny had been serving up special treats as a cook at Dena’s Family Restaurant in Monroe.
Kenny enjoyed being outside and taking in the outdoors. He was a huge fan of visiting the Little Long Lake, Indiana lake house. He had also spent much of his time kayak fishing on the Lake Huron River.
Kenny was known for his love of music. Although, he liked many genres, Country was by far his favorite. He often sung along to his tunes. Kenny had a thirst for knowledge and proudly returned to school earning his GED in 2017. Many times, it seemed 24, 7, he filled his free time in front of the History Channel absorbing a plethora of material.
More than anything in this world, Kenny, loved his children, and he cherished the time that he was able to spend with them.
Kenneth Wayne “Kenny” Bugert, age 37, of Monroe passed away at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital at 4:47am on Wednesday; January 29, 2020. His passing was preceded by his beloved brother: Richard Thomas “Ricky” Bugert on September 4, 2018.
To cherish his memory, Kenny leaves five children: Isaac Bugert, Ryleigh Bugert, Lucas Bugert, Evan Bugert and Emma Bugert; his mother: Pamela Trowbridge; his father and step mother: Richard (Christy) Bugert; his maternal grandparents: Kenneth and Betty Trowbridge; three siblings: Amy (Tim) Moore, Molly (Matt) McConnell and Emmy (Tyler) Bogue; two nephews: Derrick St. Andre and Tyler Matthews; a niece: Kayla Briceno; a great niece: Murphy Briceno; an uncle: Kenneth Trowbridge, Jr.; and an aunt: Shelley Trowbridge-Rupert.
Friends may gather from 4:00pm until 7:00pm on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe; 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of His Life will follow at 7:00pm also at Merkle’s with Pastor Chuck Norton officiating.
