Obituary of Karly Vass
Please share a memory of Karly to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Karly Amber Vass was born in Trenton, Michigan on March 1, 1981. She was the daughter of Steven Vass and Brenda Bussell.
Growing up with six siblings; Karly quickly learned the value of family. Her parents: Steven and Diana Vass of Rockwood and Brenda and Dennis Smith of Oregon, Ohio would provide her with five brothers including: Chad Vass and Darick (Kristina) Vass both of Newport, Jordan and Dennis Smith Jr. both of Oregon, Ohio, Chauncey Smith of Fort Worth, Texas, and Bill (Corine) Sheridan of Monroe; and a sister: Denni Marie Smith of Dallas, Texas. Her maternal grandfather: Sammie Bussell of Tennessee and step-grandmother: Louise Berg of Belleville were always close.
Karly herself would be blessed with the birth of two children: Heather Mae Howard of Rockwood and Nathaniel Alexander Mapely of Newport.
Karly had been employed for several years at Kroger's as a meat wrapper. She enjoyed her job but her true passion was her children. She was looking forward to the future and the opportunity to serve as a good role model for them.
Karly enjoyed driving because it allowed her the ability to come and go as she pleased. It fit her free spirit personality. Her goal one day was to have a red Stingray Corvette. She always had a brood of friends who loved her deeply. Karly's personality sometimes led to mischief, but her smile could warm the coldest heart, and it usually spared her the consequences.
She had many hobbies; including crocheting. Her beautiful scarves typically became gifts to her beloved children. Karly also enjoyed reading, and her favorite books could usually gather a fright. For the past two years, she had been a faithful member of the Raisinville Baptist Church.
Karly Amber Vass, age 27 passed from this life into the arms of her Savior on Wednesday, January 7, 2008. Her passing was preceded by her maternal grandmother: Reva Bussell in 2005 and paternal grandparents: Steven and Doris Vass.
