Obituary of Larry Steven Jones

Larry Steven Jones was born on July 15, 1959 in Detroit, Michigan.   He was the youngest of six children born from the union of the late Clifford Jones and the late Mary “Ruth” (Collett) Jones.   At the age of four, his family moved to Kentucky, and it was there that he would spend his childhood.   Saved in a Baptist church, faith always held a stronghold in Larry’s life.   He graduated from Bell High School with the Class of 1977.   Shortly after graduation, Larry would make his way back to Michigan to rejoin family that had moved North and to find employment.

Larry married the love of his life, Yvonne Bynum on May 10, 1986 in Taylor, Michigan.   He was an excellent father and husband.   Larry would spend seventeen years employed by Frito-Lay Company as a warehouse Hi-Lo driver working in shipping and receiving.   He would later become self-employed as the operator of “Vinyl’s Final”.   A vinyl fence and siding installation business.

Larry was extremely generous, and all that knew him realized he would take the shirt off his back to help another in need.   The ultimate caregiver, Larry even earned the nickname of “Meals on Wheels” for providing food to hungry souls.

Larry had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed cutting up and sharing jokes with those around him.   His love for others was immense and he was admired by his many nieces and nephews.   A very intelligent man, people often came to Larry seeking his advice on a plethora of subjects.
